Located in downtown Castlegar

The hotel is a family operated business, incorporating German quality and European hospitality with a Canadian touch and influence. Five languages are spoken: English, German, Russian, Romanian and French to welcome our guests.

The hotel, built in 1953, started as the best hotel in the area and accommodated in its long history different restaurants, like the Chuck Wagon and Chopsticks, as well as a hair dressing salon, the Castle Rock Liquor Store and as a bus stop.

All the hotel units are located on the second floor and are newly renovated, containing four piece bathrooms, new cable TVs and air conditioning.

The restaurant is serving home cooked German and some of the best European dishes, with recipes from all over Europe.

You may relax on our sunny, fully licensed patio enjoying our dinners with good German draft beers or wines and more.

"Note that this is my second time I stayed at this accommodation. This is a quaint hotel, conveniently located next to the main road through Castlegar. Free parking is available next to the hotel and several places are withing walking distance. The host (Hartmut) was extremely friendly and instead of eating elsewhere decided to eat in the hotel's restaurant. Authentic German food was really nice. Room was convenient and bathroom despite being a bit small provided for a good shower in the morning. Room was facing the main street and although a bit noisy during the day, quiet down late in the evening. Overall a pleasant stay."
